Happy B-Day Kanda

                Kanda had been dreading this day all year. It was June 6th.  The cursed day of his birth. The day Kanda tried to hide. But damn Komui just had to announce his upcoming birthday. He knew they were going to have a huge “surprise” party for him. Everyone was going to bother him at some point today. He’d though of calling in sick and he would have if it wasn’t for a certain girl and the damn rabbit threaten to get him fired if he didn’t show up.   

Kanda could somehow pull through the party and all but what he hated most was that damn rabbit, Lavi. Lavi, his self proclaimed best friend, made it his mission to annoy Kanda every damn day. He knew Lavi would go and get him a present that he didn’t need or want.

As Kanda walked up to the double doors to his work he slowed his pace. He looked that the building in front of him and let out a sigh. Slowly he approached the doors and went in.

“Surprise!!!” Everyone yelled once Kanda walked in.

“Happy birthday, Kanda-kun!!!” Leanlee cheered as she skipped up to Kanda holding out a small blue box.

“Yippy.” Kanda said sarcastically as he took the box and opened it. It was polish for Mugen, his prized family heirloom.

“Thanks.” He said surprised to get something he could use.

Kanda looked around scanning the crowd for the damn bunny.

A sudden weight came from behind Kanda.

“Yuuuuuu-ssssaaaaannnnn” An annoying chirpy voice came from behind.

“HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU NOT TO CALL ME BY MY FIRST NAME!!!” Kanda yelled pushing Lavi off his shoulders. “Damn rabbit!”

“Happy Birthday, Yu-san.” He sung out and started the happy birthday song.

After the song was finished Kanda held out his hand. “Okay, Usagi, what useless crap did you get me thing year?” he said annoyed.

“To be honest, Yu-san. I still haven’t gotten your present yet.” Lavi said smiling. “It’s really big so it takes a long time shipping it here and I thought they would be faster so I ordered it only a week ago.”

Kanda was surprised by this. Lavi was a genius for crying out loud. He never messed up like this. Kanda narrowed his eyes at Lavi. He was up to something Kanda just knew it.

“Come on Yu-san. Enjoy your party!!” Lavi chirped pushing Kanda toward his co-workers.

“Damn, Usagi, how many times do I have to tell you not to call me that!” Kanda yelled.

  Kanda cursed Lavi and Lenalee for throwing this party in his mind.
